Our favorite hike is the one in Lage Vuursche. It’s the first forest hike we ever did when Oliver was only 16 weeks old and we keep coming back to this trail. It has everything a good cat and kids hike needs to offer.  

Wandelroute Stulp – Utrechtse Heuvelrug

The trail starts at the parking lot. From there on you just follow the white markings. The hike starts in the beautiful forest which slowly change into heather fields. For the best cat experience you take the small trails in between the heather bushes. Oliver really loves those. After a while you cross an amazing climbing tree and if you’re lucky you’ll bump into some wild cows too! Following the bend of the protected heather field you slowly turn back to the forest. Once you’re back at the parking lot. Don’t forget to have a nice dink or lunch at Restaurant Buiten in de kuil or take the car for a three-minute drive and have a typical Dutch pancake at Pannenkoekenhuis De Vuursche boer.
